The Cynic Says……

I had an ok day today, actually… I got plenty of sleep, which is a big plus. I slept from about 8am til about 4pm. Then we went out to the Chop House and ate. We ended up with my favorite waitress, which was really nice. She’s this really cute chick with kinda short curly blonde hair, an amazing smile and beautiful blue eyes. She seems to be one of those types that’s perpetually in a good mood, but not annoyingly so. She went a little heavy on the perfume today, but it wasn’t unbearable. I think she’d just gotten to work which would explain that. I had my usual Ribeye steak and Phil got a NY Strip. He’d never eaten there before so he was quite impressed at how good the food was. I wasn’t the least bit surprised, since every time I’ve gone, my food has been nothing but good. Not much else came about today… we went to Circuit City and the mall for no apparent reason. In my infinite boredom, I managed to find a new beta of Yahoo messenger that was released pretty recently. I have to say I like it a LOT compared to the old version. It now integrates streaming radio via launchcast and some other random things like being able to hide from just a given set of people without having to go invisible to everyone. No webcam improvements as of yet, which is a mild disappointment. The new version now supports a display picture just like MSN does. They’ve added some new emoticons and this fucking retarded thing called “Audibles” which displays a cartoon character in the IM and it reads off some preset text. Generally useless and pointless. Oh, well.. perhaps they’ll come up with something a little more worthwhile, but overall the new Yahoo is quite a bit better than the old one. It doesn’t really seem that much more buggy than the old one either, which is a definite plus. Click here to check it out. There’s also a new version of MSN Messenger (6.2) available here. MSN is still cleaner and I still prefer its webcam to Yahoo’s. Too bad most of my friends use Yahoo. Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow. My schedule lately after being off this past weekend is weird… 3 on, 1 off, 3 on, 1 off, 4 on, 2 off…. Lame, to say the least. I’m off to bed now that I don’t have anything else of interest to say.
