Yeah, it’s not like I’ve been busy or anything… I’ve just been in an apathetic mood and haven’t really had any desire to post anything of consequence. The new Crystal Method CD “Legion of Boom” is absolutely fucking amazing. Almost all the songs on it are really good and I like the fact that they mesh guitars with big beats… works really really well. All 3 of their studio albums have been pretty damn good and I even liked their “Community Service” CD, which was basically a DJ/remix CD… I’m not big on mainstream techno, but they seem to be about the only one I REALLY like a lot. I’d recommend checking out their new CD if you get a chance, even if you’re not a big techno nut. On another note, I got a new phone. It’s a Handspring Treo 600 and it’s easily one of the coolest devices I’ve ever laid my hands on. It’s the ultimate geek toy, for sure. It’s a PDA & phone in one and it does a very good job at both. I wish the screen was higher res and I wish the camera had a flash, but outside of that, I like it a LOT. I actually was listening to streaming jungletrain.net today. VERY cool. The fact that it has a real html browser and a decent sized screen is nice… actually makes it worthwhile to browse the web on. Not to mention, I can download all kinds of PalmOS apps to make it do things it normally doesn’t do from the factory. I’ve not had any problems with reception as of yet, and the signal meter is more realistic than any of the older Sanyos (older meaning anything prior to the 7300). It reads 2-3 bars in my house where my Sanyo read 5, but call quality is identical. The earpiece is infinitely better than my Sanyo RL-2500 and the speakerphone is good, but not as loud as the Sanyo. I toyed with the PDA functions off and on all day at work today… got it down to about 40% battery left in about 6 hrs, which isn’t horrible considering how much I used it. Honestly, I have no complaints outside of the ringtones being ridiculously quiet. I’d recommend getting one if you have the cash to spare. I dunno if I’ll ever be able to use a normal cellphone again. Here’s a pic I took at work today…. Her name’s Natasha… and yeah, there’s just something about her that drives me nuts. The funny thing is that I don’t believe she was completely posing for the pic… not sure that she knew I was going to take a pic… just kinda looked up at me and half smiled… came out pretty good though. Yeah, she’s hot… and *gasp* she actually has a great personality. That’s kinda rare these days.
