Update… I fixed the transparency problem with some javascript. I found it on “this site (neat stuff)”:http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bobosola/pnghowto.htm however, it still aligns improperly on the right-hand side, but oh well. That’ll teach you fuckers to use IE. Anyway, it’s completely pointless but I found it interesting, so I added it.. sue me.

Pretty neat… I just got this weather applet working on my blog.. You can see it over there to your right. It shows the current weather here in Knoxville, TN. Here’s the catch, though. If you’re using Internet Explorer, it doesn’t display properly. The icon for the weather has a black background instead of a transparent one like it’s supposed to. See, if you used Mozilla or Opera, then it would display properly and you’d see it the way it’s supposed to be seen. Yet another reason why I hate IE… Not only does it have 80 billion security holes with new ones being found each day, it doesn’t support transparent png’s! Basically, Microsuck doesn’t care because they know they hold 95% of the browser market so why make their browser any better? Do yourselves a favor, people… Go download one of these two wonderful browsers, ok? You’ll thank me later!

So yeah, I really dig the new version of wordpress. They’ve updated the posting page a bit and added some nice new features. Not to mention adding features is done through plugins now instead of editing this stupid *myhacks.php* file. Plus I like the idea that I can change the way my entire blog looks just by changing one single css file. There’s some plugins out there that add photo gallery functionality to wordpress so I might just check them out pretty soon. “Here’s the link to wordpress’s homepage (Wordpress)”:http://www.wordpress.org in case you’re curious to check it out for whatever reason. Some of my friends are using “xanga”:http://www.xanga.com which looks pretty nice for those of you that don’t have the server or the knowhow to use php & mysql. Anyway, I’ve been listening to some odd music lately. Modest Mouse, for one. They’re not half bad, in all honesty. I’m not a HUGE fan, but it’s a nice break from all the standard stuff I normally listen to. Nothing interesting has happened lately for me to report on, unfortunately. One thing I’ve been amused by, however, is the proliferance of all these rating sites. I mean, everyone knows about “Face The Jury (FTJ)”:http://www.facethejury.com and “The Dilly (The Dilly)”:http://www.thedilly.com but there’s also “Facebattle (Face Battle)”:http://www.facebattle.com and now I’ve just found “YouBeenX (You Been X)”:http”://www.youbeenx.com which as of right now is completely free from what I can tell, though I haven’t actually signed up for it. There’s actually a fair number of hot girls on there and they allow their AIM, ICQ, and Yahoo names to be viewable by default, which is cool. Most of the others, you have to pay to actually see that stuff. Personally, I could give two shits how much better or worse I look compared to other guys. I’m not hot, I’m not ugly, I’m just me. Don’t like it, there’s the door and don’t let it hit ya in the ass on the way out. Anyway, I don’t have any other really random musings at the moment, but I’m sure I’ll post back if I come up with more.
