Microsoft patches three critical browser flaws | CNET News.com
Yep… yet again, more security holes in IE. Am I surprised? Nope! However, this security hole’s been around for a good little while and it took Microshit this long to actually get a patch together. Amusing how Mozilla has had patches fixed within 48-72 hrs when they HAVE managed to find a security flaw. Admitedly, Mozilla has an entire foundation of developers working on it from all over the world. Which is exactly why I prefer to use Mozilla instead of Internet Exploder (as I like to call it). Then again, I try to avoid products from Microsoft and AOL in general. Instead of using IE, I use Mozilla (obviously) and instead of AIM, I use trillian.
Anyway, I’ve added a few more pics to my gallery.. and I’ve basically decided to let Monica upload her own pics into her gallery since she has so many. Which means I have a feeling there’s gonna be an assload of pics in there before long. Hopefully she’ll remember to throw a bunch of pics of Chelsea in there too, since she’s just plain hot as fuck. Amusingly enough, this is gonna be the first month I break 1GB in transfer for the month. Back to browsing.. maybe more to come later. Who knows?

I’ve managed to make my desktop look almost completely like a mac now that I’ve found some system files that replace most of your windows graphics with those from MacOS X… They work pretty well and “here”http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/index.php?showtopic=18772 is where I found ‘em. Don’t bitch if they fuck up your system.. If you do them the way it says, they shouldn’t. However, you have to have XP SP1 and all the latest updates installed for it to work properly. Pretty nice, if you ask me. I like it a lot. Plus I have a nice ichatAV skin for Trillian which I found @ deviantart (it’s been mentioned before). I’ve also found this neat program called “AveDesk 1.1″:http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/index.php?showtopic=19494&st=0&p=213496&#entry213496 which lets me put little icons on the desktop that perform various functions. The most useful one available is the FTP one since it allows me to drag n drop files onto it to upload stuff straight to my website. Plus you can put shortcuts to folders, drives, system stats, etc.. Anything you could want, you can put on your desktop. I’ve even started using itunes instead of winamp even though I still like winamp… I think itunes has some neat features, especially the media library integrated into the window and easier to access. Nothing else important has really happened that I can remember since my last posting. My throat hurts like a bitch and I have no idea why

Good god what a night… Here’s a quick rundown since I don’t feel like typing the whole thing out… Steve and I go get Dwight… start to go hang out with friends at a place called Kingston Alley (restaurant open til 3)… get a flat on the way there due to Steve’s tire being uber-fucked. Change the tire, back on our way. We get there, it’s dead. We eat pizza… Dwight has two 24oz beers and a jagerbomb. Steve and I have a jagerbomb each. Fine then… off to Cotton Eyed Joes… a really lame country dance club we go to on occasion because of all the hot girls. Dwight spends an assload of money, buys Steve and I drinks and we get drunk. Dwight gets shitty drunk off 5 more jagerbombs, 7 or so beers, and about 25 shots from the shooter girls there… God knows what else. We see other friends there we haven’t seen in forever. One of whom had 4 knives confiscated at the door and came in with his friend stoned off his ass. Amusing. A girl passes out from a diabetic attack or something of that nature. We leave and go to IHOP, but on the way to the car, a huge tussle was brewing in the parking lot, but was broken up by a good 8 or so bouncers (most of whom left the girl laying in the floor STILL passed out) Order food, Dwight is so drunk he can’t even sit up straight so we cancel the order and try to leave. After a scene in the parking lot with Dwight refusing to move because “something is wrong” we get him in the car and we stop by Steve’s house to drop stuff off. Another “something is wrong” scene…. eventually we get him to my house.. Another large scene in the front yard at like 5am. Eventually he makes it into the house, pukes 3 times in our bathroom (missed the toilet twice) and passes out on the couch where he is now. How fun! I’m still awake because I’m not tired. I got a little drunk, felt like shit due to shitty liquor I normally would never drink (it was free) and the only drink I actually requested was an Amaretto Sour (made with more cheap liquor). Nothing else worthy of posting as far as all that goes.
On another note, my new desktop owns ass. Mac themes are cool. I also found an iChat AV skin for Trillian. Plus I downloaded itunes and think it’s pretty damn cool. I like the smart playlist feature where you tell it what kind of stuff you want in general terms and it picks you a playlist out in whatever length you want. sweet! Anyway… I’m posting a screenshot of my desktop for shits & giggles. lol For the record, I got the trillian skin at deviantart and the desktop theme at either deviantart or themexp. I can’t remember!

Interesting geek stuff… haha… Apparently most of the laptop manufacturers out there don’t actually build their own laptops.. They have another company build it and then the company’s name that goes on it puts in the CPU, RAM, and HD and then ships it out the door with their name on it. Dell, HP, and Compaq for example don’t manufacture their own notebooks… HP does make some of their own, but most are made by third parties. I also find this nice chart giving info on just about every single x86 cpu in circulation today. Ok, I thought I was going to bed, but this was absolutely necessary to post… So asinine, I absolutely felt the need to post it before bed… The US Dept of Labor has setup a WEBSITE for the HOMELESS people to visit to look for jobs. I’ve found a few other neat things today… first “this site(bugmenot)”:http://www.bugmenot.com/ which allows you to use an already existing login and password with fake information to access sites like the NYTimes and such that require free registration to view their content. Quite a few news sites online have gone to this where they make you register to view their articles and such. So you can go to that site, put in the URL for the site you wanna login to and just use the one they’ve created. All in all, it doesn’t appear to save THAT much time since you still have to flip to another site to get a username & password. You almost might as well register as it is. Not a bad idea for those of you that don’t wanna fill out all the blanks and stuff. Also, on another note… two interesting stories have happened in TN that have made national news….

Yep… I’m slacking again… Nothing really important has happened lately. A few amusing things, however. First, this girl I know/talk to who claims she likes me or whatever… She yet again found some way to amuse me. Basically I talked to her Friday and she was like “I’ll be busy tomorrow, but I’m gonna call you once I’m done and we’ll plan something for Sunday”… I was like “ok, sure, just call me”. So Monday rolls around and I never got a phone call all weekend, though I wasn’t the least bit surprised. So she calls me and I’m like “thanks for forgetting about me”. She claims she called like 3x on Saturday yet my phone never rang, never showed a missed call and I never got a vm. So she admits that she didn’t leave a vm. But it gets better… then she says that well, she didn’t even GET my voicemail. To which I replied “then either a) you didn’t call my phone, or b) it never went through. A simple “Ooops, I got busy, sorry” would have worked but unfortunately she had to just go and blatantly lie like that. Yeah, I love women. So then she calls today, but I didn’t get back to her til like 6:30 and she says she’s eating and will call back. Does she call? nope! I don’t even try with her anymore. I just call her back whenever I feel like it and have nothing better to do because if you couldn’t tell, she’s not even worth it. I dunno, maybe I expect way too much from a girl. Maybe I shouldn’t expect someone to call when they say they’re going to. Perhaps I should be ok with someone not calling and then lying about it. Hell, it’s hard enough to find a girl with enough intelligence to actually keep my interest for longer than 30 minutes. This girl’s not exactly the brightest crayon in the box, but she’s at least tolerable for the most part. Well, tolerable minus the fact that she’s a chronic liar.
