The Cynic Says……

Well, I’ve had an interesting couple of days for sure. Went over to Sam’s on Monday and we spent most of the day dicking around in west knox riding our bikes and taking the bus to a few places. We ended up going to the liquor store and picked up a bottle of Effen black cherry. I swear this stuff is the best vodka I’ve ever had. The only problem is that maybe it tastes a little TOO good since I had about 15 shots that night. I was so far gone it wasn’t even funny. Ok, actually it was funny because I was stumbling around a good little bit and having conversations that I don’t remember with some of my friends online. Hell, I even sat up until 7am talking to Sam’s sister, whose intelligence level is somewhat higher than that of a gnat. She’s nice and all.. just your typical 15 year old Linkin Park loving teeny-bopper. Anyway, back to the vodka. It’s the first vodka I’ve ever had that really doesn’t burn like you would normally expect vodka to. It’s incredibly smooth and it actually leaves a really neat vanilla/black cherry aftertaste in your mouth. Obviously it’s top-shelf stuff at about $30 a bottle, but it’s worth every penny. I will never drink cheap vodka again. This is actually the 2nd time I’ve bought it and most definitely won’t be the last, that’s for sure. I’m not much into drinking all that often, but when I do I make sure and drink good stuff and enjoy it. I probably won’t drink again til my 26th birthday which is on Nov 29th, a day that I’m conveniently off. I’m fairly certain that will be another Effen night to remember. My only complaint about it is that none of the bars/clubs/restaurants here have it that I’ve seen so far. I should start specifically requesting it by name and perhaps they’ll start carrying the stuff.
