The Cynic Says……

I swear to god I hate April…. we get so much rain, it’s not even funny. We actually had a few really nice days (my days off, no less!) and now we’ve got another 3 days of rain coming up, more or less. More rain next week, too. I think I want to move somewhere hot and dry where there isn’t much rain at all. Las Vegas sounds good. I’m in the process of building a new bike to ride this summer. I currently ride a mountain bike and I think a road bike would be faster and much more fun to ride. Hence, I bought a frame, fork, stem, handlebars and seatpost off some dude on ebay for $400. Obviously I still have to buy wheels, tires, drivetrain components and a seat. Once it gets built, I’m guessing it’ll weigh 16-17 lbs which is considerably less than the 30 lbs my mountain bike currently weighs. I don’t plan on commuting on it ALL the time.. just mostly when it’s nice. The mountain bike will be the bad weather commuter, basically.
