The Cynic Says……

So yeah, I got pretty trashed Monday night. My friend Andy and I killed an entire fifth of jager. I did it on more or less a full stomach so I didn’t get overly ridiculously drunk or feel sick at all. Hell, I didn’t even have a hangover! Andy had like 4 beers and 10 or so shots of jager. I had the rest of the bottle of jager and no beer (gag). Beer is one thing I just don’t drink. At any rate, I had quite a bit of fun and the food was really good. I think we’ll probably end up doing this more often. Andy mentioned that he’d like to do it again. We’ll probably do steaks next week, though. I personally prefer steaks, even though the hamburgers we had Monday night were fucking awesome.

Now here’s the sucky part. I’m working 3am - 11am this morning (Wednesday) and then going back to work at 6pm tonight…. I don’t get off until fucking 11am Thursday morning and then have to be back at work at 6pm Thursday night, get off @ 3am. I’m covering shifts for someone who is out for a couple of days to go out of town. I don’t really mind that much overall. The overtime is hella nice and it will put me well on my way to building the new road bike. I’m anxious to get it built up and ride it. I love my MTB and all, but a road bike is going to be so much faster. I’ve got the frame, fork, headset, stem, bars, seatpost and seat. Wheels have been ordered but because they’re being hand-built, it’ll be another week or so before I get them (they’re expected to be built on the 25th). I’m not the most patient person in the world, especially when it comes to getting new stuff for myself!
