music

So I’m sitting here listening to Chronix Radio and they play “Passenger” by the Deftones (with Maynard James Keenan) and then “H” by Tool back to back. Kick fucking ass! I’d totally forgotten how much ass that song “Passenger” kicks, but yeah, it’s fucking amazing. Then again, I think Maynard is one of the best vocalists on earth today. Plus I’ve always liked the Deftones. :)

work too much

Yeah, I work way too fucking much. I just realized recently that I spend literally 12-14 hrs a day away from home. The only time I’m home is when I’m sleeping and messing around on the computer for short periods of time. I’m in the middle of a 17 hr shift as we speak after having worked an 8 hour shift that ended 7 hrs before this one started. Yeah… fucking crazyness. Even better, I get off work at 11am and go back into work at 6pm, then get off at 3am and have to go home. Joy. My paycheck is going to be nice and fat, though. Granted most of it is going towards my road bike but that’s the one thing I want more than anything right now. After all, it’s the reason I’m working these asinine hours. So I can get it built quicker. I want it like NOW because I’m not a very patient person. Alas, I have to buy parts as the money comes in. It’s kinda gay. I’m about $900 short of having it built right now, so I wish someone would just dump $1000 in my lap, ya know? That would make me very very happy. I know it’s asinine to most people that I’m more than willing to spend $1600+ to build a new road bike but won’t spend ANY amount of money on a car. I have no reason to own one, so therefore I won’t be buying one. I will most likely put a rack and panniers on my mountain bike so that I can ride it around town and be able to carry stuff home from the store. Obviously that will come AFTER the road bike, however. My road bike will most likely become my main bike and my MTB being my utilitarian bike to ride to the store and pick stuff up, ride when it’s yucky outside, or if I just feel like dicking around and jumping off stuff. Kinda like some people have their Corvette and their pickup truck. Same here, but with bikes. Eventually I plan on getting a full custom frameset from Independent Fabrications, but that will be further down the road (a year or so probably) after I’ve decided what I need/like/want in a road bike. I like the idea of a bike built specifically with what I want in mind and specifically to fit MY anatomy. Anyway, enough bike rambling for now.
