Well, nothing horribly major to report… No rants, raves, tirades, etc. for the moment. I’ve put in about 186 miles so far this month, which isn’t horrible. That’s a pace of about 560 miles this month. I’m starting to commute both directions instead of just one more often now despite the ridiculous heat. Once I add a few jerseys to my collection it probably won’t be anywhere near as bad as it is now. A large portion of the problem is the fact that I wear regular cotton/polyester t-shirts to ride in and they just soak up sweat without letting it evaporate at all. Plus I wear a lot of black, which just makes it worse. I love the new bike despite the fact that it doesn’t fit perfectly as of yet. A shorter stem is on the way and I’ll be getting some nicer handlebars sooner than later. Nice pedals and shoes will probably come after that. Then maybe a nicer seatpost if I feel the need. Maybe soon I’ll acquire a fixed gear bike to add to my collection as well. One can never have too many bikes, after all! :p
On an unrelated note, Coldplay’s new CD “X&Y” is fantastic. I’m not sure it’s any better than their previous effort, “A Rush of Blood to the Head” but it’s still a fantastic CD in its own right. If you’re the type to buy music, I’d suggest adding this one to your collection without hesitation. Any band that can churn out 3 consecutive awesome CD’s definitely has my attention. The one thing about Coldplay (it’s both good and bad) is that they never really rock the fuck out. All their stuff is somewhat soft, smooth, perhaps even “polite”. It’s great stuff but not so hot if you want something that just totally rocks, so to speak. Either way, if I had any need for the CD I’d buy it. Instead I just listen to it on Yahoo Music when I feel the need to hear it. So far it’s my favorite mainstream CD of 2005.
Coldplay definately is great listening. New bikes always need adjustments. Thanks for updating your site pretty much on a regular basis.
