I'm aware that the nano is flash-based, so it's going to carry a small price premium, but I was comparing simply based on price since the average consumer doesn't know the difference between a flash-based player and a hard drive based player. Most would have no clue that the innards are any different. Even compared to the ipod mini (which is no longer available), I feel the iriver and even the Zen Micro are a better deal. Also, they're 4GB not 4MB :-P

From what i understand this is a Flash-based mp3 player. Meaning no moving parts. There is an interesting stress test done on the nano where they throw it out of moving cars and run over it with said car and it still plays music, even if the screen broke. :D
So to be able to have a nice-looking 4mb flash-based player with the lovely clicker-wheel...when the highest most flash-based players go is 1mb...well i think they have hit upon something that isn't PURELY good marketing, even if 'omg its apple' is a big part of their brand popularity.

So while the article stats were interesting, it wasn't really that relevant because ones a hard-drive based hard-drive mp3 player, and one is a flash-based mp3 player. I wouldn't want to have anyone compare the Zen Nano to the 20bg ipod photo. :D
