Does anyone have a hack for the 6700 that will make the wi-fi work for internet access instead of it trying to dial everytime I.E. is open?

The six zero unlock code SHOULD allow you to unlock the phone for use on any CDMA network provided the provider in question will allow you to use phones that are not branded by them. I have no idea if Alltel will activate non-Alltel phones but unlocking all the programming functions on a VZW phone should in fact let you use it on Alltel's network.

does that six zero unlock code allow me to use the phone with another provider? specifically, if i unlock a verizon wireless phone using hte "000000" code, will i then be able to use it with alltel (they also support the xv6700).
thanks,
sam

I haven't used the DUN enough to have Verizon mess with me too much... Thing is, I use 1GB per month alone just on the phone so tethering might be difficult for them to notice. I'll post some more of the hacks I've accumulated in a bit. :)

Hey, thanks for the hacks - what else do you have, and has Verizon messed with you about the DUN? I've seen a couple of posts here and there saying they will terminate your service...
